What Is the Average Time to Implementation?
Since every business is unique, the average implementation time will vary across companies and industries. This is because companies all have different tokenization needs, goals, and budgets. In other words, how businesses plan to use tokens with their sensitive data will determine what is required to implement and, thus, how long the process will take. Based on these factors, our average implementation time is 90 days, which involves four phases discussed below.
Phase 1: Sandbox Creation/Testing
A common question that prospective clients ask is, “How long before I can start the client testing environment?” This is a great question. The sandbox creation/testing phase generally takes 24 hours. However, it can take up to 5 days for complex or custom setups. Clients will receive a client portal demonstration and recommended best practices in this first phase. A portal administrator will be assigned who will manage other users and permissions. Furthermore, we will discuss clients’ solution needs, pricing, and terms. Once this phase is complete, clients can begin the client testing process.
Phase 2: Client Testing Environment
Next is the client testing environment phase. This usually takes 2 to 6 weeks, as long as there are no issues. This involves setting up the onboarding kickoff call and regular calls to ensure successful progress towards the go-live phase. Clients will receive API keys and token schemes that meet their unique data needs. Solutions testing will also begin. The IXOPAY Onboarding team will provide strategic status calls on an as-needed or scheduled basis. Premier onboarding packages will include a convenient Slack channel for fast communication with our IXOPAY team.
Phase 3: Production Provisioning
Then, we will proceed to the production phase, which takes about 1 to 2 days. For complex or custom setups, production can take up to a week. Product provisioning tickets will be requested in this last phase. This includes confirming setup details and providing strong credentials in the secure client portal. After these steps are complete, the production environment will go live, and production endpoints will be configured.
Phase 4: Go-Live Deployment
The last step is go-live deployment. In this phase, our team will begin routing API calls to Production endpoints. To ensure client success and support, we will provide 30- and 60-day check-ins and ongoing access to support and our client success team. This means that implementation is officially complete!
