Ajoy Krishnamoorthy is IXOPAY's new CEO, effective August 25.
Krishnamoorthy most recently served as CEO of Cin7, an inventory and demand forecasting company, where he previously held the role of Chief Product Officer. Prior to these roles, he was Chief Strategy Officer and EVP of Product at Acumatica, where he helped scale its cloud ERP platform. He started his career with a decade at Microsoft across product, strategy, and marketing.
He's stepping in at a pivotal moment for payments. AI agents are moving from research to decisions, making purchases on their own. Fraud shifts faster than most systems can track it. Merchants are stuck choosing between locking into one processor or building brittle integrations across a dozen. Krishnamoorthy brings years of experience working with merchants navigating complex ecosystems.
"Ajoy has spent his career helping businesses turn complexity into growth through flexible, intelligent software," said Vik Verma, IXOPAY's board chairman. "His product and technical instincts, global operating experience, and customer-first leadership make him the right person to lead IXOPAY as we bring orchestration, intelligence, and tokenization together."
The company had a record year in 2025 with IXOPAY orchestrating $171 billion in payment volume, securing over 2.1 billion tokens, and supporting 1.6 million merchants across more than 500 payment adapters. Its Payments Intelligence product adds AI-driven anomaly detection and monitoring on top of that. Customers on the roster include Aer Lingus, Cleverbridge, Delivery Hero, DHL Express, Grover, Kiwi.com, and Volkswagen.
Krishnamoorthy comes with a customer-first mindset and will lead the company into the agentic era, letting merchants buy what they need, build what they want, and keep control of their own data and provider relationships instead of getting locked in.
"The winners will move faster, adapt instantly and stay in control," Krishnamoorthy said. "IXOPAY is investing to give merchants that advantage with the preeminent agentic payments platform."
Krishnamoorthy will spend his early weeks meeting with customers and partners, and understanding the landscape that shapes their payments infrastructure.
