Key Benefits

Increase Security

By using P2PE, payment information is unreadable until it reaches a secure decryption environment.

Simplify PCI Compliance

Reduce PCI scope by up to 90% and keep sensitive payment data off your internal systems.

Gain Processor Flexibility

Reduce “processor lock-in," add new processors, control your payment flow, and improve authorization rates.

How it Works

Payment card information is encrypted on the payment device using IXOPAY encryption keys.

The encrypted codes are then sent to IXOPAY for decryption.

Once the data is decrypted back to the original card information, it is sent to the appropriate payment processor.

The merchant then receives a notification if the payment is accepted or rejected. This notification includes a Universal Token that the merchant can store.

Universal Tokens are generated specifically for the merchant and represent the original transaction. The merchant can use the universal token to refer back to the transaction or even refund the customer without the customer’s card information.

How P2PE Works

What You Get

Own Your Payment Data

Use universal tokens to unify payment information, analyze customer data, and support loyalty programs across your in-person and online channels.

Own Your Payment Data

Use Any Payment Device

With the ability to utilize any PCI-approved PIN Transaction Security (PTS) device, you can easily add new POS hardware or maintain the functionality of existing terminals and upgrade later.

[The Future is Agentic]

Are You Ready?

As commerce shifts from clicks to agents, your infrastructure must be protocol-agnostic. IXOPAY acts as the neutral trust layer, orchestrating identity and value across the fragmenting landscape of AI agent protocols.
